Although knee implants do not stay indefinitely, it is ideal if the knee replacement lasts for the rest of your life. Some implants fail to endure the lifespan of the patient, necessitating a further knee replacement surgery known as a revision knee replacement.
Increasing numbers of younger, more active individuals are opting for knee replacements as a therapy for knee discomfort. These individuals exert more demands on a knee replacement, increasing the likelihood of another surgery.
